What is your REAL age?

I came across a great website where you can take a free test that will tell you what your real age might be according to your lifestyle. I am 26.1 years old and according to them my real age is 27.9 years old. So I'm doing really good :) Yaija!! LOL

Go to  http://www.realage.com/default.aspx and come back to my
guestbook and let me know how old you are, that is if I know you
otherwise it's not that interesting to me lol

The house of Christmas

I told my friends that I love christmas and that I'm absolutely in love with christmas lighting. So they took me to this house an exit up from my house. And I must say WOW. I Absolutely LOVE it! I took some pictures that I want to share with you guys! Allot of the stuff in the windows (made out of the garage) are moving and so is the train. And of course there were allot of sounds and music :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Face painting, a lioness

I haven't really been too interested in face painting up until now. I got this idea for a photo shoot (we'll see if it turns out the way I want it to) of a lioness. I kind of new what colors I would most likely need so I went to the craft store and I bought red, yellow, white and brown. And for the black parts I thought I'd use my Spot creme eyeliner.

I started off with looking at some real life pictures of lionesses on the internet so I'd have an idea of how I was going to paint a lioness face. So with my computer on the toilet seat and me in front of the bathroom mirror I started to paint my face. And here is the result of my first time painting a lioness/lion.

Here is one of my main pictures that was the source to my inspiration

It was hard to get the right lighting and the right mode on the camera since I'm still learning.

I took allot of pictures and here is some of them. The ones that are a little darker portrays more of what the colors really looked like on my face.

I also sew ears to the costume but they came out too big and too pointy. I'm going to save them though because they look really good and can be used, if dressed up as a regular cat. I'm still working on my new lioness/lion ears.

I used Classical colors Snazaroo face paint and Stila smudge spots. The face paint was really nice to use. Dried quick and never cracked. Felt smooth while wearing it. I uses the smudge spot for the black parts and it looked really dark and nice. It worked fine except on the lips because it crack if I opened my mouth wide. To apply I used a round fluffy sponge and fine brushes.

Makeup-Thanksgiving

Makeup is one of my passions and I love to create new looks. I don't own too much makeup because it is not the cheapest thing in the world, quite the opposite. Don't get me wrong the cheaper stuff can be just as good but from personal experience certain brands that happens to cost a little bit more, last longer and is more gentle, on my face at least (I have very sensitive skin).
Sephora (a well known makeup store in the US) is one of my favorite stores. I love it! The atmosphere, the people working there, their products etc.

My first tip in make up is going to be a pretty casual look that is enhanced with a little extra touch. I made this look for thanksgiving. Let me know what you think :)

I always start with 1. lotion since my skin is a little dry, especially in the winter.
Then I apply 2. AquaPRIME by Lorac. This primer moisturizes and prepares your skin for long-lasting makeup application
3. Crease-less concealer by Laura Geller under my eyes, in the corner of my eyes and nose and under my eye brows.
After that 4. Surreal skin Mineral Makeup (powder)  "Illusion" by Urban Decay (One of my favorite brands) all over. You can use it as it is instead of foundation and then powder. If I wear liquid foundation I break out easy but with this mineral powder my skin stays smooth and clean.
Then I apply an eyeshadow base 5.  Eyeshadow Primer Potion by Urban Decay on my eyelids and up to my eyebrows.

This pictures is taken in daylight and no flash.

I used following products:
  • Eye shadows by Urban Decay; "Sin" (on eyelid and up to eyebrow as a base and highlighter), "Chopper" (in the outer corner of the eye and on the lower eyelash line. Same side) and "Half Baked" (in the corner of the inner eye and on the lower eyelash line. Same side).
(An important thing to make it look good is to BLEND)
  • Eyeliner by Stila: "Stila Smudge Pots Black
  • Mascara by Bare Escentuals; "Big Tease" (I LOVE this mascara. Has a little comb on one side too).

This picture is taken with a soft flash indoor

I added some facial "jewelry" for the occasion as well. I found these in a craft store. They are actually plastic buttons so I just cut off the loop on the back of them. Then i used eyelash glue to make them stick to the skin.

A New Start

I want to start by saying hi to everyone.

I would like to share something with you guys that means allot to me. My health. Just like allot of people out there I've been struggling with my weight for years, up and down but mostly up.
In August of year 2007 I started to make some changes that did in fact turn my life around in many ways.
I went from being 196 pounds (89 kg) to 140 pounds (63,5 kg) in a year and my "secret" as they all like to call it is very simple. Except from eating all your daily veggies and fruits and drink your water I did following:

* Stop eating about 2 h before bedtime
* Don't eat unless you are hungry
* Eat as little carbs as you can
* Exercise
* Eat very little of chips, candy, chocolate, ice cream and junk food
* Keep it down with the sodas (drink diet but not more than you drink water as well) and alcohol

And this was not a diet for me. This was about changing my eating habits. I still follow this but now when I want to keep my weight I just eat a little bit more. And since I LOVE food I eat some what comfort food (more cal. in it). And once in a while I have my eating frenzies  :)  You got to have those here and there! Even as you are loosing your weight.

While doing this I didn't have to count ANYTHING! I just listened to my body!

Here is a before and after picture
