Makeup-Thanksgiving

Makeup is one of my passions and I love to create new looks. I don't own too much makeup because it is not the cheapest thing in the world, quite the opposite. Don't get me wrong the cheaper stuff can be just as good but from personal experience certain brands that happens to cost a little bit more, last longer and is more gentle, on my face at least (I have very sensitive skin).
Sephora (a well known makeup store in the US) is one of my favorite stores. I love it! The atmosphere, the people working there, their products etc.

My first tip in make up is going to be a pretty casual look that is enhanced with a little extra touch. I made this look for thanksgiving. Let me know what you think :)

I always start with 1. lotion since my skin is a little dry, especially in the winter.
Then I apply 2. AquaPRIME by Lorac. This primer moisturizes and prepares your skin for long-lasting makeup application
3. Crease-less concealer by Laura Geller under my eyes, in the corner of my eyes and nose and under my eye brows.
After that 4. Surreal skin Mineral Makeup (powder)  "Illusion" by Urban Decay (One of my favorite brands) all over. You can use it as it is instead of foundation and then powder. If I wear liquid foundation I break out easy but with this mineral powder my skin stays smooth and clean.
Then I apply an eyeshadow base 5.  Eyeshadow Primer Potion by Urban Decay on my eyelids and up to my eyebrows.

I used following products:
  • Eye shadows by Urban Decay; "Sin" (on eyelid and up to eyebrow as a base and highlighter), "Chopper" (in the outer corner of the eye and on the lower eyelash line. Same side) and "Half Baked" (in the corner of the inner eye and on the lower eyelash line. Same side).
(An important thing to make it look good is to BLEND)
  • Eyeliner by Stila: "Stila Smudge Pots Black
  • Mascara by Bare Escentuals; "Big Tease" (I LOVE this mascara. Has a little comb on one side too).

I added some facial "jewelry" for the occasion as well. I found these in a craft store. They are actually plastic buttons so I just cut off the loop on the back of them. Then i used eyelash glue to make them stick to the skin.
